Correspondence and reports (1897-1950) regarding assays, autopsies, chemical analyses and consultations conducted by DeBarr, services rendered by DeBarr as expert witness in legal cases, the DeBarr family and personal affairs, various members of the University of Oklahoma faculty and Board of Regents, and the construction and laboratory fittings of the Chemistry Building; and a report (1870-1872) on the survey of the Indian Meridian boundary through Indian Territory. Professor. The Hengst Collection is an oral history project of the Center for Studies in Higher Education at the University of Oklahoma. The purpose was to document the history of the university through interviews with former administrators, faculty and staff members, regents, and alumni. The collection contains 131 cassette tapes and transcriptions of interviews (1979-1985), background information on the people interviewed, and administrative records (1951-1985) of the project. Bizzell; University of Oklahoma students and alumni; and the 1941 matriculation ceremony.
