Attorney. Notebooks of memoirs by Homer W. Wheeler, describing his life as an Army Scout; broadsides, newspapers, and handbills regarding the settlement of Kansas; along with a wide variety of other documents collected by Farley and relating the the Civil War, settlement of Kansas, Indian battles on the Great Plains with an emphasis on Kansas, and on the history of the American West in general. Also included is one of the two known copies of the "Siwinowe Kesibwi" (Shawnee Sun) newspaper (1841).

A bound copy of telegrams, military reports and dispatches, letters, orders and other authentic papers following the progress and development of affairs in the Department of the West while under the command of Major General J. C. Fremont. These papers have been collated in chronological order.

Material from Bass's participation with the Oklahoma Civil War Centennial Commission, including general correspondence and correspondence regarding Abraham Lincoln (1962-1965); subject files regarding Civil War historical sites, events and personalities; and programs received from other state commissions. Also, Bass's travel diaries (1943-1966); correspondence (1933-1936) to and from patriotic societies; correspondence (1935-1940) from J. Black and white original and copy prints of Patrick Jay Hurley's career as United States Assistant Secretary of War and Secretary of War, special presidential representative to the Soviet Union, Great Britain, Afghanistan, and the Middle East, and United States Ambassador to China during World War II. The collection contains scenes of Hurley with Joseph W. Stilwell, Chou En-lai, Mao Tse-tung, Chiang Kai-shek, Douglas MacArthur, Claire Lee Chennault, and Herbert Hoover. Also included are photographs of Secretary of War Hurley's inspection tours of United States military installations, suppression of the Bonus Army riots in 1932, Hurley with Japanese military representatives, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Charles A. Lindbergh, Amon Carter, Will Rogers, Chester Nimitz, Jonathan Wainwright, Henry Stimson, William Halsey, Bacone College and the towns of McAlester, Oklahoma and Phillips, Indian Territory. Patrick J. Personal correspondence (1897–1957); correspondence with Campbell’s relatives (1822–1896); correspondence with publishers and literary agents (1920–1958); literary manuscripts (circa 1914–1957); diaries, notebooks, and journals (1901–1926); and business papers (circa 1925–1959) regarding Campbell’s writings on the West, Indians, and Oklahoma, with emphasis on transportation, fortifications, cowboys, wars and battles, criminals and outlaws, and American Indian chiefs, along with original Indian art by Carl Sweezy.
