Scope and Contents

Architect. Architectural drawings (1954-1956) created by Ernest Burden, Jr., as a student at the University of Oklahoma School of Architecture, where he studied under Herb Greene and Bruce Goff. The collection consists of original and copy prints of drawings, digitized drawings in jpeg and pdf formats, and slides of artists’ illustrations.

Biographical Note

Ernest Burden was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1934, and grew up in nearby Warren. He studied architecture under Herb Greene and Bruce Goff at the University of Oklahoma, earning a bachelor’s degree in 1957. He later earned a master’s degree from the San Francisco Institute of Architecture. He is a published author of works on architecture and marketing communications.
