Donald MacDonald papers and graphic materials

 Collection
Identifier: WHC-M-2852

Scope and Contents

Architect. Correspondence, research files, and photographic materials (1946-2017) on Bruce Goff and the American School of Architecture. The collection documents Donald MacDonald’s work to organize exhibitions and publications about Bruce Goff’s legacy and the students he and fellow architect Herb Greene influenced at the University of Oklahoma. The files primarily trace the development of the 1985 Royal Institute of British Architects’ exhibition in London, The American School of Architecture: The Bruce Goff Legacy; and a 1981 special issue of A+U magazine that focused on the American School architects. The collection also includes a series of board-mounted drawings and images of structures in California by Donald MacDonald Architects.
