Railroad manager. Typescripts of letters to and from Stevens regarding his management of the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad, of which Stevens was General Manager. Included in the collection is a letter to Stevens from President U.S. Grant regarding a trip Grant made from St. Louis to Springfield and the Indian Territory. The originals of the letters are preserved in the Stevens Family Papers, Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections, Cornell University Library, Ithaca, N.Y.
