A genealogical and historical collection which pertains to the Brown-Wilcox family as well as the history of Clinton, Custer County, Oklahoma, and western Oklahoma. The Brown-Wilcox Family Papers Collection consists of 87 volumes (notebooks) of copied documents, including recollections, letters and cards, poems, essays, newspaper clippings, stories, drawings, invitations, obituaries, bulletins, business cards, political posters, certificates, programs, recipes, legal documents, land records, sale bills, histories, diaries, military records, coats of arms, telegrams, speeches, catalogs, calendars, and photographs, all relating to the Brown-Wilcox family. An index to the collection entitled "Indices of Our Volumes" arranged by volume number, page number, type of material, date and author is kept with the inventory to the collection. "Indices of Our Volumes" also includes family trees.
