About the collection:
This collection contains the records of the Oklahoma Almanac as preserved by H.L. Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick was a Norman resident who raised the money and gathered the material for the first Oklahoma Almanac to be published. H.L. Fitzpatrick served as the Editorial Director of Oklahoma Almanac, Inc.
The file folders in boxes 1-4 include business correspondence with individuals and corporations, materials pertaining to the almanac, and personal records. The inventory lists folder heading and gives a proximate dates of the material.
Box 5 of the collection consists of folders arranged by subject headings which pertain to the almanac. The inventory lists all folder headings and gives approximate dates of the materials.
Box 6 and Box 8 of the collection consists of Fitzpatrick's unorganized correspondence, materials used in writing the almanac, financial records, orders for almanacs, etc. The inventory gives a general description and approximate dates.
Box 7 of the collection contains the text proofs of the almanac as well as those of another publication, The Oklahoma Constitution.
