Photocopies of correspondence (1889-1955), reports, and news articles by Chapman regarding the history of Oklahoma, including the history of Lincoln County, of the towns of Chandler, Mountain View and Stillwater, of the Boomers led by David L. Payne, of the alienation of federal lands in Oklahoma, of the loyalty oaths required of the state's collegiate faculty during the early 1950's, of Oklahoma State University, and of Gov. J.C. Walton's proclamation of martial law (1923) in Okmulgee County.
