Soldier. Correspondence (1946-1953), newspaper clippings (1944-1953) and published materials, including magazines and event programs regarding his posthumous receipt of the Congressional Medal of Honor; the renaming of Enid Army Air Field in his honor, and the dedication of a dormitory at the University of Oklahoma, all in recognition of his wartime achievements. The collection also includes correspondence (1933-1945) regarding his father's death, as well as letters from his parents while Vance attended the University of Oklahoma.
