Child's involvement in the Oklahoma oil industry; his membership with the Freemasons; his death in 1936; and Mrs. Child's memorial gifts of carillion chimes to the Scottish Rite Temple in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and to the University of Oklahoma in 1955.
