Civil Engineer. Originally from Kingfisher, Oklahoma, he attended the University of Oklahoma as a civil engineering student in the early 1940s. He was an intern for the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad (CRIP) while he attended school and after graduation he became a civil engineer for the same rail line. He moved frequently around the Midwest and became the Division Engineer in Des Moines Iowa. The collection includes civil engineering course materials (1942-1943) and a CRIP track maintenance manual (circa 1970s).
