Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture collection
College of Architecture. Original drawings by students and architects associated with the University of Oklahoma’s School of Architecture. The organic architecture style depicted in the drawings resulted from the influence of OU professor Bruce Goff and others, and is now known as the American School of Architecture. The school later became the Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture.

Christopher, E. R. (Ernest Randell) (1897–1967)
Black-and-white original prints and postcards from the life and career of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, postmaster E. R. Christopher. Subjects covered by the photographs and postcards include business operations and social organizations, such as the U.S. Postal Service and its rapid delivery system ABCD Mail (Accelerated Business Collection and Delivery); the American Legion; and Oklahoma Boys State. The collection also contains images of E. R. Christopher; autographed portraits of Wesley E. Dewey, Ed Edmondson, Stewart Edmondson, and Mike Monroney; locomotives; Bartlesville, Oklahoma; the Mormon Temple and Salt Lake City, Utah; monuments and buildings in Washington, D.C.; the Yale University campus in New Haven, Connecticut; and the University of North Carolina campus in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Huggard’s master’s thesis (1987)“The Role of the Family in Settling the Cherokee Outlet” with chapters regarding the land run of 1893, settlement and housing patterns, and interaction with neighbors. Also in this collection is a paper by Huggard later published in the Chronicles of Oklahoma, titled “Culture Mixing: Everyday Life Among the Choctaw in the Mid-Nineteenth Century” and a postcard (1989) commemorating the Land Run of 1889.
