Of particular note are the many letters (1943-1944) exchanged between Jim and Sarah during World War II, when Jim served in the U.S. Navy as a gunnery officer in Hawaii. Also included are the personal and professional papers of J. R. (James Ryland) Eanes, who was a Texas state legislator and mayor of Comanche, Texas.
