Oklahoma Territorial Governor. An autobiography (1893) of Seay; a biography (1915) of Seay, including a family history, written by Clark Brown; typescripts of Seay's diaries (1862-1864, 1892-1893), the earliest kept during his service as a Union soldier during the Civil War, and the latter kept during his term as Territorial Governor; and typescripts of letters (1905-1909) sent and received by Seay after his retirement from public office.

Physician. Account ledgers (1908) from Clarkson’s medical practice at the Wheelock Academy in Millerton, Oklahoma, and at Valliant, Oklahoma. His ledgers, consisting of (1) a patients' account ledger, begun in 1908, and (2) an expense ledger, begun in 1952, show that, like many a humanitarian "horse and buggy" doctor, he kept a heterogeneous system of accounts and of payments in and for produce and labor, and did not press for full collections. These ledgers are a source of information of commodity and labor prices, and of medical charges.

Poet, newspaper journalist and educator. Enrolled member of the Lovelock Paiute Tribe. The papers (1946-2018) of Adrian C. Louis document his career as a Native American poet and journalist. The collection features manuscript materials and published poetry and short stories (1975-2016). Correspondence related to Louis’ literary career includes reviews of his work and reviews that he wrote about other authors’ writings (1955-2018). A small group of original editorial cartoons, story boards and clip art created by Ken “Rainbow Cougar” Edwards and several other artists is included. The collection also contains photographs (1946-2017), digital files and audiovisual recordings (1970-2009).

Collector. Correspondence, teacher's certificates and examination scores, letters of recommendation, and tax receipts belonging to Charles L. Hollem, Anna Hollem's husband. All materials date from 1892 to 1901, except for souvenirs from Hollem's lumberyard, and letters describing Hollem's funeral in 1935. Hollem taught school in Oklahoma Territory and later owned Lawton's first lumber-yard.

Investment broker. Correspondence (1875-ca. 1950) of the Robert James Edwards and J.S. Handy families; business correspondence (ca. 1890-ca. 1945) from Edward's investment securities firm, R.J. Edwards, Inc., including University of Oklahoma dormitory and memorial Union building bonds (1946-1948); and concert and theatre programs (1928-1987) from musical and theatre productions throughout the United States, particularly in Oklahoma City and at the University of Oklahoma.

Architect. The papers (1935-2014) of Arnold G. “Arn” Henderson document his career as an architect and professor of architecture at the University of Oklahoma, and his efforts to preserve buildings in Oklahoma and across the American southwest. The collection features drawings and floor plans for numerous buildings that Henderson helped renovate. The papers include photographic and manuscript materials for Henderson’s biography of Bruce Goff, as well as photographic prints and slides of Henderson’s own architectural projects and various projects by students. The collection also contains Native American housing surveys and environmental studies, with an emphasis on the Cheyenne and Arapaho.
