Translator. This collection contains the professional papers (1971-2020) of Brian Holton, translator of award-winning poet Yang Lian’s poetry from Chinese to English and Scots. The papers contain correspondence, translation drafts, writing and research notes, and diaries related to Holton’s translation work, teaching, and associated activities. Printed publicity materials from poetry readings, festivals, and other events document many of his public appearances. Also included are documents and photographs on computer disks, as well as recorded readings and performances on both digital and analog media.
