Correspondence (1954-1981), certificates (1953-1981), municipal reports (1948-1961), and agendas and minutes (1954-1981) of the Norman, Oklahoma, city council and of several Norman city government boards, including those governing environmental and noise pollution and the quality of water; publications, including newsletters and brochures published by the League of Women Voters of the United States; and one manuscript, jointly authored by Benson and Cortez A. M. Ewing, regarding presidential nominating politics in 1952. Benson was active in Norman politics and her papers reflect the governance of the municipality for the period 1954-1981.
