Muhs a professor of finance at Washington State University and Montana State University and research materials (1847-1990) he collected about industrial efficiency pioneer Harrington Emerson. These include records and publications of Emerson's businesses the Emerson Company, Emerson Engineers, and Emerson Institute. Also included are photographs (1879-1929) of Harrington Emerson and his family, and sound recordings (1978-1982) from Muhs' research on Emerson, and from management conferences he attended.

Correspondence (1927-1962), business and general files (1903-1990), and financial records (1904-1974) of Wirt Franklin, a longtime citizen of Ardmore, Oklahoma, who was key in developing the Healdton Field. His papers span nearly the length of his six-decade career as an attorney and oilman. Among them are the records of Apple & Franklin, his law practice with Samuel Apple, which represented citizens of the Choctaw and Chickasaw nations in citizenship claims and guardianship cases in the early 20th century. The largest portion of the collection consists of the business and financial files of his many companies and partnerships, including the Crystal Oil Company, Wirtaine Petroleum Corporation, Ardmore Investment Company, Franklin, Aston & Fair, and others. Translator. This collection contains the personal and professional papers (1956-2019) of Wolfgang Kubin, a German poet and translator of modern Chinese literature. The papers feature manuscript and published poetry by many authors, including Yang Lian, Bei Dao, Zheng Chouyu, Duoduo, and Gu Cheng. Translation drafts and notes in German, Chinese, and English are present throughout the collection, along with related correspondence with Kubin.
