Correspondence (1895-1946) regarding the Indian Territory Day Celebration of 1939, and Thomas Rhodes' World War I experience; certificates (1864-1912); clippings (1905-1950) and a scrapbook (n.d.) regarding lawmen, outlaws, judges, and Rhodes; the score (1894) of a patriotic hymn composed by a youth from Indian Territory; poetry and short stories (1894-1942) by various persons regarding Belle Starr, the Creek National Councilhouse at Okmulgee, and Oklahoma; and publications (1908-1938) including programs of the 1908 reunion of former U.S. marshals, and of the 45th anniversary of the First National Bank of Vinita, Oklahoma. Correspondence (1920-1941) concerning the Oklahoma Tuberculosis Association, including financial reports, and local candidates' positions on political issues such as women's suffrage, and with various publishers; a ledger (1924-1937) listing poem titles, publishers, and payments; and scrapbooks (1920-1941) containing published and unpublished poems, essays and greeting card manuscripts, copies of Mrs. Coldiron's column"Letters From Aunt Sallie" and articles from literary and political sources. Correspondence (1942-1995) of French professor Frieda Derdeyn Bambas and English professor Rudolph C. Bambas primarily regarding their lives during World War II, including Rudolph's military training at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and his wartime service in India; and Frieda's early career as a French teacher at Oklahoma College for Women and Ward Belmont College in Tennessee. The collection also includes Frieda's scrapbooks (1922-1923) and diaries (1934-1952), as well as a manuscript, poetry, and dissertations written by the couple, who later held teaching positions at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Central Oklahoma.
