Photographer and collector. Black and white original prints of railroads in Oklahoma, including scenes of depots, locomotives, rolling stock, bridges and track. The collection also contains photographs of numerous Oklahoma cities and towns, industries, agriculture, businesses and mining activities.
Laborers working on the construction of the Sapulpa and Oklahoma City extension of the Saint Louis and Frisco Railway. The workers are grading up the piling for the tracks. The photographer was standing on the section line between Sections 1 and 12 in Township 14, Range 5 east of the Indian Meridian. He faced south with the workers facing north. The photo was taken on the homestead of J.F. William Schuessler who claimed the north 160 acres of Section 12 in the Sac and Fox “Run of September 22, 1891”. He sold the farm in 1900. 1 ½ miles dues east of Davenport, Lincoln County, I.T., 1898. Copy print, 5x7. Negative, 5x7., 1898
