Black-and-white original prints of Smith during his tour of duty on the battleship USS Oklahoma. Included are photographs of the USS Oklahoma, USS Chicago, USS Lexington, USS Saratoga, and other U.S. naval warships and aircraft. The photographs are of a 1936 cruise of the USS Oklahoma, with scenes of the Panama Canal, San Diego and San Francisco, California, England, France, and Gibraltar. Also in the collection are photographs of United States citizens boarding the USS Oklahoma at Bilboa, Spain, during the Spanish Civil War. Unpublished finding aid available.
