Black and white copy prints of the towns of Lawton, El Reno, Perry and White Rock, Oklahoma Territory. The collection includes scenes of settlement, businesses, railroads, the opening of the Cherokee Strip, the land drawing at El Reno, and a wagon train of settlers during the Land Run of 1889.

Soldier. A letter from Union Soldier Thatcher Danforth written to his mother from somewhere near Vicksburg, Mississippi. He comments on the excitement caused by a naval battle on the Mississippi River and adds that he soon expected to be moved south of Vicksburg.

Correspondence (1865-1866), alterations reports (1855-1902), muster rolls (1865-1869) and casualty returns (1856-1868) from the Regiment's service in Minnesota, Kansas, Utah, and Dakota Territories, as well as Cuba and the Philippines. Included are casualty statistics and action reports, several of which regard engagements with the Sioux and Cheyenne Indians. From 1898 on, many of the Regiment's soldiers were enlistees from Fort Reno, Oklahoma Territory.
